Background
Atlas Copco awards grants for the best course papers by the students of Air-free and Compressor Technique Department of N.E. Bauman Moscow State Technical University every year. Previously the grants were handed in by one of the company employees in the department office without any advance preparations. The event didn't have a name, a scenario, and any recognizable idea. As a consequence the students knew nothing about the company and its career opportunities.
Task
To design the idea, format, script, and visual style of the event in the course of which the company could award the best students and tell about its advantages to potential candidates. To carry out advertising campaign and then conduct the event at Bauman University.
Solution
We held an unusual conference for the target faculty.
The conference will take place on an annual basis.
Event subject and format
The conference main idea: Atlas Copco provides the opportunity to see the impact of every single employee of the common result. It is crucial because modern candidates are equally concerned about their contribution to the common goal and material remuneration. In a sense awarding grants is an appraisal of a student's yearly work.

Te conference consisted of two parts: a lecture and best students award ceremony. On the lecture company management and employees talked about the ways of estimating your own value for the company and encouraged to focus on the achievement of the common goal rather than implementing routine tasks. We promote visual interactive methods of rendering information therefore Atlas Copco employees analyzed authentic working situations and illustrated the way a simple idea turns into a global project. The presentation motivates greatly, don't miss a chance to watch it!

Name and slogan
We decided not to get too sophisticated and creative and used a simple name - 'Visible result'. This is a perfect name for the annual award of the best students' works because the grants make the work results more tangible. Besides it emphasizes the transparency of Atlas Copco processes. The slogan 'We are building the future' links together the conference subject and company speciality.
Visualization
A target became the logo of the event because it symbolizes the visible and tangible result, as well as the aiming sight. This simple image can be used with different backgrounds and combined with the elements of the company logo. In order to stand out in the flow of adverts we used bright and minimalistic graphics in all channels of communication: the illustrations show how Atlas Copco technique is building the future (in the employees presentations these illustrations marked the stages of achieving the great result).
Advertising campaign
We set up a community in Vkontakte in order to attract audience, hanged posters on information boards and spread the information via insiders to inform the students about the preparation to the event.
Result
  • 60 students attended the event, lots of potential candidates filled the profile forms, and the successful first conference started an annual tradition.
